Tuesday December 31, 2013: Here are some of my favorites from the past year. I did a lot more photojournalism and especially spot news in 2013, but still got a few nice nature and scenic shots.

Firefighters work to rescue a man who was trapped following a trench collapse near 90th and Old Cheney rd. It took firefighters about one hour to free the man who was taken to the hospital with unknown injuries. (Friday March 22, 2013 Stephen Shield)

Starcare lifts off from the scene of a motorcycle accident at sw 70th and Yankee Hill rd. Rescue personnel from Southwest rural, Lincoln, and Crete responded to the accident which occurred just before 10 am. (Saturday Aug. 17, 2013 Stephen Shield)
